About Brett Winn
Over the span of 28 years, I've been blessed with numerous opportunities to travel around world, not only popular tourist spots, but places rarely frequented.
With my camera always close at hand, I have captured thousands of images–A visual journal of my experiences. Some images are best shared as photos, others I've chose to express through painting. My work can be found in public and private collections across the globe.
Although my passion is art, I am currently enlisted in the U.S. Navy and work as a network administrator. On my off time I spend time with my family and paint in my studio.
My first experience as an artist was at 2 years old, drawing abstract murals on the walls of the house where I grew up. Although my work wasn't appreciated at first, my mother encouraged my creativity by lining the walls with butcher paper allowing me to continue to develop my talent. In the Spring of 1995, I refined my skills as an artist by graduating from The Art Institute of Seattle. My focus was graphic design, typography and illustration. I worked as a graphic designer for over 10 years.
I currently live in Newport News, Virginia with my wife, daughter and our sweet little pug named Maddie and super intelligent, American Pit Bull Terrier, named Raiden.
